Locating the Club Key and Accessing the Records Room

The Club Key is found inside the Boiler Room on the upper roof level after navigating past the Art Room balcony. Once you have this key in your inventory, head down to the first floor on the west side of the main hall to unlock the Records Room.

Clearing out any remaining zombies in the library will save valuable time and resources while manipulating the heavy shelves. If Mr. X begins searching the area, lead him on a loop through the main hall to create a temporary opening.
Players can actually align some of the bookshelves before even acquiring the jack handle. You can grab the outermost shelf to move multiple units simultaneously, saving precious effort when final adjustments are needed. Taking these extra steps ensures a smooth process once the final piece is inserted.
Solving the Bookshelf Puzzle to Reach the Clock Tower
Return to the second-floor library and approach the lowered bookshelf near the broken upper walkway. Interact with the mechanism and select the jack handle to raise the bookshelf into a movable position. Slide all three connected bookshelves fully to the right to construct a solid wooden bridge across the upper floor.
Once the bridge is complete, climb the library ladder and cross over to the third-floor door leading directly to the Clock Tower. Inside the Clock Tower, players can proceed with the gear puzzle to secure the final key items needed for escaping the police station. Successfully completing this section marks a major milestone in surviving the RPD complex.
